Twitter isn't a reliable company anymore. At least for now.
In my eyes, Twitter isn't a reliable visitor anymore. And I am not talking near the last security issue when well-known accounts similar Ilon Musk, Bill Gates, and others were compromised. We are all humans later all and Twitter fixed the issue very fast.
I am talking about Twitter Support systematically ignoring users — from regular to verified and business ones.
Allow's start at the first of the story. More than a week ago my business relationship was suspended and I was asked to confirm ownership using the telephone number. I entered my phone number, and suddenly received the error:
Due to a technical issue, we couldn't complete this request. Please try again.
I tried several times simply with no luck, then I reached out to Twitter Support and asked for assistance. I explained the situation, added screenshots. Merely nothing happened. I waited for some time, wrote one more email, and got only silence in response.
That was actually strange. Equally an example, when I've submitted just a feeling that LinkedIn has a security vulnerability, I got two emails from real persons in the adjacent vi hours — one from support and one from the guy from the security center. Half-dozen hours — ii real emails, issue solved — This is how I'm expecting Support of a serious company to work.
The root of the problem — Twitter Support is non working anymore
So I started googling. And the commencement thing that surprised me was that this is a well-known result!
It exists for more than five years!
I said — OK, I understand, probably it is also hard to set up this issue. Simply the support squad exists exactly for such cases, isn't it? So, why they are non helping me? I opened Twitter Support account and institute dozens of similar cases when users are merely left lone without any aid, without fifty-fifty a simple answer:
No answers for the whole month! Now, my complaints nearly a week of silence look ridiculous yeah?
Permit's run into, peradventure they're slow to react and the ticket has very depression priority because this is not a well-known person (this is not excusing them but at least it may sound reasonable). So I spent thirty seconds and establish another tweet from the member with a verified account and 115_000 followers:
When you have more than than 100_000 followers this should hateful at least something? I would not be that sure.
And what about the business organization accounts? At least they are paying real money …
3 months without no respond! Fifty-fifty if you lot are paying money to Twitter — this means nothing to Twitter Support.
You might remember that I am likewise harsh. In this case, only check this thread with more than 1300 replies:
And take note, this is non considering of "Nosotros've significantly express admission to our internal tools and systems". The issues I mentioned started far before July 31.
Summarizing:
Something very wrong is happening with Twitter Support — they are helping neither well-known accounts nor business accounts. This is non accidental, this is systematic.
At least to me, this ways that till the situation is not dorsum to normal:
- I can't trust Twitter Support so I can't trust Twitter in full general.
- Considering of not trusting Twitter, I will not put serious efforts into bringing good content through Twitter and, of course, I volition not spend my money on the platform.
- Working equally a consultant I will advise my clients not to use Twitter as a platform for the business organisation and spend coin on it because nobody will help them if something goes wrong.
And what is especially sad is that Twitter itself is a really great platform that brings good for the customs, just Twitter Back up just ruining that.
P.S. Few words directly to the Twitter Support — guys, you lot are non helping people, you lot are ruining Twitter's reputation, you lot are making Twitter lose money. I only hope you know what are you doing and why!
